Assignment of District Property Procedure for Temporary
Assignment of District Property 1.
Employee must sign up at
least one day prior to the issuance of property. Property is available on
a first come first served basis. It is recommended that one plan ahead and
signup as far in advance as possible. If one needs assistance in setting
up and using the equipment it must be noted at the time of sign up. All
property will be issued for one day. Property other than laptop carts may
be picked up at the library after 7:30 in the morning and returned by 3:45
in the afternoon. 2.
Employees must sign for the
property when it is issued and when it is returned. Students will not be
issued equipment, and students may not sign for a teacher to receive
equipment. The property must be required for the performance of duty, and
the employee must agree to accept responsibility for its care and
safekeeping. The employee may be held financially liable for the loss,
damage, or destruction of property that occurs from negligence or
misconduct. 3.
Mobile Computer Labs will
only be issued as a complete cart. Due to the need for laptops to recharge
the cart will only be issued to one teacher per day. It is recommended
that the cart be plugged into an electrical outlet in the classroom. Only
the laptops should be removed from the cart. Do not remove the adapters.
When laptops are not being used they should be returned to the cart,
plugged into the appropriate adapter, and the cart locked. At the end of
each school day laptops must be shut down properly, returned to the
appropriately numbered shelf, plugged in to charge, and all components
must be present. It is the
teacher’s decision to share the cart with other teachers; however, the
teacher that signed for the property is the responsible party. Mr. Cooper
will deliver the cart to the classroom in the morning. It must be returned
to the library each afternoon no later than 3:45. 4.
Contact Mr. Bartosh by email
to reserve distance learning equipment, and for assistance with the
equipment. Distance learning needs to be scheduled as far in advance as
possible. One day will not be adequate. A distance learning calendar will
be posted in the library. If Mr. Bartosh is unavailable contact the campus
technology facilitator on your campus. 5.
Other equipment (Television
carts, projectors, and etc.) must be picked up from and returned to the
library. Equipment will be issued for only one day. Equipment may be
picked up at the library after 7:30 am and must be returned to the library
no later than 3:45 pm each school day 6.
Failure to abide by the above procedures may result in forfeiture
of the privilege to use the property, and / or written reprimand. Your
cooperation is greatly appreciated so our district will be able to serve
teachers and students more equitably as well as maintain appropriate
inventories of equipment.
